Business Blekinge

Where connections turn into progress

In business, growth is rarely built alone. In Blekinge, networking is not about collecting contacts—it’s about building relationships that make it easier to move forward, solve challenges and find the right opportunities at the right time. With short distances and a strong culture of collaboration, companies can quickly connect with decision-makers, partners and expertise across sectors.

A strong community for business

Networking in Blekinge is built on proximity, collaboration and trust. With strong business communities, science parks, clusters and testbeds, the region offers practical ways to connect with the right people and turn new ideas into real progress.

Blekinge offers a supportive business environment where collaboration happens naturally. The region’s size makes it easier to build close-knit networks, and the strong regional pride creates momentum across both public and private actors. As a result, many formal and informal networks have grown over time—often built around industry competence, local connections and a shared drive to develop.

For new companies and entrepreneurs, this means faster access to the people and resources needed to establish, grow and scale.

Science parks that connect business and research

Two science parks form important hubs for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the region: Blue Science Park and NetPort Science Park. They serve as meeting points where companies, researchers and students come together to create new solutions and accelerate development.

Through these environments, companies gain access to:

- networking opportunities across multiple sectors

- researchers, students and innovation support

- collaborations that strengthen product and service development

Together, the science parks connect around 200 member organisations, creating valuable entry points into Blekinge’s innovation ecosystem.

Industrial cluster with global reach

Blekinge also has a strong industrial cluster, Techtank Advanced Engineering Alliance, working to strengthen industrial competitiveness. Techtank represents companies that togheter gather around 10,000 employees, offering a strong foundation for collaboration, supplier networks and industrial development—ready to welcome new businesses into the region.

“The reason it’s very easy to run a business in Blekinge is that you’re so close to official decision-makers and other people in the same position as yourself. It’s really great for networking since everybody is so close to each other.”
