The Support – With You Every Step of the Way
When entrepreneur Nina Sjögren-Höe turned her idea into reality and started a company she wanted to expand internationally, Business Blekinge and its network played an important role. Today, she runs World of Fajers in a constantly growing global market.
It all started when Nina couldn’t find a stylish and practical kit for storing her yoga mat and yoga clothes. The idea of designing an attractive bag with everything she needed began to take shape. Through Blekinge Business Incubator, she got in touch with Business Blekinge and Almi, who helped her secure financing. Soon after, she launched a collection aimed at the US market.
- World of Fajers started appearing in several major magazines, especially in Germany. And suddenly the German market picked up, Nina says.
This is where Business Blekinge became key to the next step in the company’s development. Based on Nina’s needs, a tailored initiative was set up with consultancy support — which led to a launch on Amazon Germany. From there, things quickly gained momentum. Orders started coming in one after another. Today, Amazon Germany is Fajers’ main platform for visibility and sales in Germany.
- Honestly, I don’t know how it would have gone without the support I received. It would have been a completely different journey. I received a loan, ongoing guidance throughout the process with a clear focus on finding an agent in Germany, and most importantly access to valuable networks, says Nina.
Through the network and the partners’ different areas of expertise, companies get the support they need to succeed with exporting. This can include hands-on business development, coaching and mentoring early on. It can also involve more specialised advice related to customs, VAT, product regulations, choice of export market, market validation, trade documents and certificates. Different forms of financing are also available, including loans and business support.
