WORLD-CLASS RESEARCH AND TALENTED STUDENTS

Blekinge Institute of Technology´s (BTH) research in software engineering ranks second in the world, and research in strategic sustainable development is among the most cited in the world.
The research is carried out in close cooperation with industry and society and one-third of BTH´s operations is comprised of re-search.

Master’s programmes

The study programmes focus on society’s future needs and chal-lenges. BTH offer Master’s programmes in several areas e.g., computer science, software engineering, mechanical engineer-ing, and strategic leadership towards sustainability.

BTH has many years of experience of close collaboration with business and industry. The goal of the strategic cooperation agreements is to create long-term collabora-tions for societal development and to strengthen the innovation capabilities and competitiveness of BTH´s partners. Several interna-tional businesses such as Volvo, Ericsson, Telenor, NKT, Alfa Laval and Saab Kockums currently collaborate with BTH around R&D initiatives, and they are open to new collaboration initiatives.

Hyper Island is a global and world-renowned digital creative school. It started in Blekinge but is now also established in Manchester, New York, Sao Paulo and Singapore. Their former students are to be found in the most respected and prestigious organizations and positions around the world – the school has developed revolutionary pedagogics with no traditional teachers or course material; Instead the students are facilitated by competent businesspeople coming from relevant industries, solving real challenges for organizations.
