A growing industry in sustainable food production, exemplified by the plant-based company The Green Dairy and Swedish Tempta-tions, producing innovative milk, ice cream and meat substitute products. The fish processing industry has a long tradition in Blekinge and in the western part of the region, there is a large fruit & berry production and processing industry.

In summary, there is a great deal of expertise of innovative food production in Blekinge. That is certainly one of the reasons that Alfa Laval and Tetra Pak have chosen Blekinge for parts of their product development.
